Concrete Cost Estimator
About the project

Built for People Who Want a Fair Concrete Quote

Concrete Cost Estimator exists because people deserve accurate, transparent material and cost estimates they can trust before they call a contractor — not vague guesses. Free concrete cost estimator for slabs, driveways, footings, and walls — cubic yards, bag count, and 2026 ready-mix pricing.

About this site: Concrete Cost Estimator is an independent educational resource, owned and operated by ToolWorks Media LLC. Its calculators are planning tools and do not replace a contractor’s site visit, measurements, or written quote. Always get at least three written quotes before ordering concrete or hiring a crew.

Our team

Who We Are

A small group of estimators and builders who believe a construction number is only useful when you understand where it comes from.

Construction Cost Research · Concrete Cost Estimator

Our editorial team researches concrete material and labor pricing, validates every calculator formula, and keeps the cost ranges aligned with current national averages. Estimates are planning tools — always confirm with local suppliers and a licensed contractor before you order or build.

Our story

How We Started

Concrete Cost Estimator began as a frustration: a contractor hands you a number, and you have nothing to check it against. Ready-mix is sold by the cubic yard in fractional loads, small orders carry short-load fees, and none of it is explained up front. We wanted the opposite.

What started as one clean estimator grew into a library of calculators and cost guides — each one built to show its working and respect your privacy.

Our mission

What We Do

We turn the standard concrete volume formula and current 2026 pricing into fast, accurate estimates you can run in seconds — then wrap them in plain-English guides on what the number means.

The cost guides exist for the follow-up question every estimate raises: “okay, is this quote fair, and what’s driving it?”

Trusted source statement

Our credibility statement

We earn trust the boring way: by showing our assumptions, citing recognised pricing references, and being honest about what a quick estimate can and can’t tell you.

You can read the methodology behind every cost range on the relevant cost guide, and cross-check the math against your own quotes.

Documented formulas

Each calculator shows the exact volume equation it uses and the waste allowance it applies.

Recognised price benchmarks

Cost ranges track national ready-mix and bagged-concrete averages, not figures we invented.

Clear scope boundaries

We estimate materials and budgets — we are not a substitute for a contractor's site visit and written quote.

Core principles

What makes this different

Exact Math, Not Guesses

Every estimate comes straight from the published volume formula — length × width × thickness ÷ 27 — with a clear waste allowance, not a vague rule of thumb.

Current, Sourced Pricing

Our 2026 cost ranges track national ready-mix and bagged-concrete averages and recognised industry references, with sources listed on the relevant pages.

No Account, Nothing Stored

The calculators run entirely in your browser. Nothing you enter is sent to a server, saved, or used to identify you.

Server-Rendered for Speed

Guides and FAQs ship as crawlable static HTML. The interactive calculator hydrates on top without slowing the page.

Honest About Local Variance

We say plainly that estimates are planning tools — delivery distance, site conditions, and your local market move the final price.

Transparent Formulas

The volume math, the waste factor, and the price assumptions are all visible so you can check the numbers against your own quotes.
